Why

Three years ago, my family was given the opportunity to foster and potentially adopt two children with special needs. Throughout the foster care period that eventually lead to adoption, I was able to watch the dramatic effect occupational therapy had on their lives. My siblings had been removed from a home filled with abuse and neglect. They were malnourished and intellectually and socially behind at no fault of their own. Their Occupational Therapist worked with them weekly to help achieve their goals of overcoming the neglect they received. After a year of occupational therapy, I had witnessed a transformation of independence within my siblings. They were no longer scared, mute, or at a disadvantage all thanks to the therapy they received.  I believed God placed my siblings in my life for a reason. {for THIS reason} I can't wait to see how God uses me throughout my journey of becoming an Occupational Therapist.    "I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have
